بینایی-ژوزه ساراماگو

کتاب “بینایی” ادامه‌ای بر رمان “کوری” است که به بررسی واکنش‌ها و تغییرات در جامعه پس از بازگشت بینایی به شهروندان می‌پردازد. این اثر، چهار سال پس از حوادث “کوری” روایت می‌شود و در آن به رویدادهای انتخاباتی در شهری می‌پردازد که در آن عمده‌ی شهروندان به صورت نمادین رأی سفید می‌دهند. “بینایی” با نگاهی تیزبینانه به مسائل سیاسی و اجتماعی، به نقد نظام‌های دموکراتیک و واکنش‌های حکومت به بحران‌های ناشی از این رای‌گیری می‌پردازد و تأثیرات آن بر روی فرد و جامعه را بررسی می‌کند.  “Seeing” is a sequel to José Saramago’s “Blindness,” exploring societal reactions and transformations following the restoration of sight to the citizens. Set four years after the events of “Blindness,” this narrative focuses on an election in a city where the majority casts blank votes as a symbolic act. “Seeing” scrutinizes political and social issues, critiquing democratic systems and governmental responses to the electoral crisis and its effects on individuals and society. Saramago skillfully questions the nature of power and politics while highlighting the inseparability of political and ethical actions.
