جشن بی‌معنایی آخرین رمان میلان کوندرا (Milan Kundera) است؛ اثری کوتاه، بازیگوش و فلسفی که در پاریس و حوالی باغ لوکزامبورگ می‌گذرد. آلن، رامون، شارل و کالیبان در گفت‌وگوها و دیدارهای پراکنده دربارهٔ بدن، شوخی، تنهایی، بیماری ساختگی و مهمانی‌ای عجیب سرگردان‌اند.

روایت خطی جای خود را به صحنه‌های کوتاه، خاطره، خیال و حکایت‌هایی دربارهٔ استالین و اطرافیانش می‌دهد. کوندرا با طنزی سبک اما دقیق می‌پرسد آیا می‌توان بی‌معنایی را نه شکست زندگی، بلکه بخشی ناگزیر و حتی رهایی‌بخش از آن دید. شوخی‌های نافرجام و سوءتفاهم‌ها نشان می‌دهند انسان‌ها تا چه اندازه در شنیدن یکدیگر ناکام می‌مانند.

این نسخه با ترجمهٔ الهام دارچینیان (Elham Darchinian) و از سوی نشر قطره منتشر شده است. عنوان اصلی رمان La fête de l’insignifiance و عنوان انگلیسی آن The Festival of Insignificance است.

About The Festival of Insignificance

The Festival of Insignificance is the final novel by میلان کوندرا (Milan Kundera), a brief, playful and philosophical work set around Paris and the Luxembourg Gardens. Alain, Ramon, Charles and Caliban move through scattered conversations about the body, jokes, loneliness, invented illness and a peculiar party.

A conventional plot gives way to short scenes, memories, fantasy and anecdotes involving Stalin and his circle. With light but exact humour, Kundera asks whether insignificance can be understood not as life’s failure but as an unavoidable, even liberating part of it. Failed jokes and misunderstandings reveal how often people fail to hear one another.

This Persian edition is translated by الهام دارچینیان (Elham Darchinian) and published by Ghatreh. The French title is La fête de l’insignifiance.
