“هوشنگ مرادی کرمانی” این داستان زلال و خالص را از داخل سنت ها، افسانه ها و مراسم و باورهای آیینی و مذهبی برخی از روستاهای اطراف کویر لوت بیرون کشیده و آن را در قلب روزمرگی صاف و ساده ی مردم یک روستا، می پرورد. مردمی که به حیات دشوار اما کوشا و مومنانه خو گرفته اند و مقاومت و مبارزه ی آن ها در برابر فقر و برای داشتن یک زندگی طبیعی در طبیعتی که به آن ها سخت می گیرد، ستودنی است. هسته ی داستان “نخل”، امیدی نامتعارف در قلب کودکی یتیم است که با آمیزه ای از عرفان یک درویش بیابان گرد و البته صبر، کار و تلاش، ایمان و محبت کودک به امیدی که در دل او جوانه زده، گره خورده و داستانی خواندنی را در اختیار مخاطب قرار می دهد.
