انقلاب و دانشگاه: خاطرات منوچهر گنجی جلد هشتم مجموعه «تاریخ شفاهی و تصویری ایران معاصر» به کوشش و گفت‌وگوی حسین دهباشی (Hossein Dehbashi) است. راوی کتاب، منوچهر گنجی (Manouchehr Ganji)، استاد حقوق و علوم سیاسی، رئیس پیشین دانشکده حقوق دانشگاه تهران و وزیر آموزش و پرورش در سال‌های پایانی حکومت پهلوی بود.

گفت‌وگوها مسیر زندگی گنجی را از تحصیل حقوق در تهران و فرانسه تا تدریس دانشگاهی، فعالیت در حوزه حقوق بشر، مدیریت دانشگاه و حضور در دولت دنبال می‌کنند. بخش مهمی از روایت به فضای دانشگاه‌ها، سیاست آموزشی، بحران‌های ۱۳۵۷ و خروج او از ایران اختصاص دارد.

پس از انقلاب، گنجی در فعالیت‌های سیاسی مخالف جمهوری اسلامی و سازمان درفش کاویانی حضور یافت. کتاب دیدگاه و حافظه شخصی او را ثبت می‌کند و به‌عنوان منبع تاریخ شفاهی باید در کنار اسناد و روایت‌های دیگر خوانده شود؛ ارزش آن در جزئیات تجربه یک مقام دانشگاهی و دولتی از درون ساختار قدرت است.

Revolution and the University: The Memoirs of Manouchehr Ganji is volume eight of the Oral and Visual History of Contemporary Iran series, based on interviews conducted and edited by Hossein Dehbashi. Its narrator, Manouchehr Ganji, was a professor of law and political science, dean of the University of Tehran’s Faculty of Law, and Minister of Education in the final years of the Pahlavi monarchy.

The interviews trace Ganji’s legal studies in Tehran and France, his university career, human-rights work, educational administration and government service. A substantial part concerns universities, education policy, the upheavals of 1978–79 and his departure from Iran.

Ganji later took part in political opposition to the Islamic Republic and founded the Derafsh Kaviani organisation. The book preserves his personal perspective and memory; as oral history, it is most useful when read alongside documents and other accounts. Its particular value lies in the detail offered by a university administrator and government official speaking from inside the political system.
