تاب «روزگار دوزخی آقای ایاز» نوشته‌ی رضا براهنی، رمانی پیشرو و جریان‌ساز در ادبیات مدرن ایران است که با ساختاری چندلایه، سوررئال، سیاسی و روانکاوانه به نگارش درآمده است. این رمان روایت‌گر ذهن آشفته و تب‌دار شخصیتی به نام «آقای ایاز» است که در فضایی کابوس‌وار، خاطرات، توهمات، سرکوب‌ها و شکنجه‌های روحی و جسمی را بازگو می‌کند. براهنی با زبانی پرشتاب، گاه بریده‌بریده و گاه سیال، استبداد، سانسور، بحران هویت و خشونت دولتی را به چالش می‌کشد. این اثر یکی از جنجالی‌ترین رمان‌های ادبیات فارسی در دهه ۵۰ شمسی بود که به دلیل محتوای سیاسی و ساختار رادیکالش، مدتی ممنوع‌الانتشار شد.
