About Zaha Hadid
زاها حدید by María Isabel Sánchez Vegara, translated into Persian by Lili Golestan, is an illustrated children’s biography from the Little People, Big Dreams series. It follows Zaha Hadid from childhood in Baghdad and an early fascination with design, mathematics and space to architectural study in London and the founding of her own practice.
Hadid’s fluid, futuristic designs once appeared so difficult that some projects remained on paper for years. By combining geometry, technology and imagination, she eventually created buildings that changed expectations of architecture, and in 2004 she became the first woman to receive the Pritzker Architecture Prize. The concise narrative and bright illustrations show young readers how persistence can turn an apparently impossible idea into a real structure.
An illustrated biography of a pioneering architect
Asun Amar illustrated the book, whose visual language makes the bold forms and curves associated with Hadid’s architecture accessible to children. Bahareh Hojjati edited the Persian edition. The information is delivered in a compact story suited to shared reading by children and adults; the series name identifies the collection but is not part of the edition’s exact market title.
