«صحرای محشر» اثری طنزآمیز از محمدعلی جمالزاده (Mohammad Ali Jamalzadeh) است که نویسنده نگارش آن را در ۱۳۲۳ در ژنو به پایان رساند. نسخه حاضر، مطابق توضیح روی جلد، بازچاپی بر اساس نسخه اصلی ژنو است.
راوی، مردهای اصفهانی، از گور برمیخیزد و از آوارگی در صحرای محشر تا دروازه قیامت، میزان داوری و آغاز حیات ابدی پیش میرود. کتاب در هشت پرده ساخته شده و در مسیر راوی، پیامبران، عارفان، فقیهان، کاسبان، معتادان، خسیسان و آدمهای معمولی کنار هم قرار میگیرند؛ گفتوگو با چهرههایی چون خیام و ابوسعید ابوالخیر نیز میدان طنز را گسترش میدهد.
جمالزاده از تصویرهای آشنای معاد، آیات، ضربالمثلها و زبان کوچه و بازار برای نقد ریا، عوامفریبی، خرافه و داوریهای سادهانگارانه استفاده میکند. اثر فقط هجو باورهای دینی نیست؛ دادخواهی، مسئولیت فردی و آرزوی جاودانگی را نیز با طنزی چندلایه میسنجد و همزمان بخشی از واژگان و مشاغل ایران زمان نگارش را ثبت میکند. نسخه فروشگاه ۲۳۸ صفحه و جلد شومیز دارد.

About The Plain of Resurrection
The Plain of Resurrection is a satirical work by Mohammad Ali Jamalzadeh, completed in Geneva in 1944. According to its cover, this edition reproduces the original Geneva text.
The narrator, a dead man from Isfahan, rises from his grave and moves from bewilderment on the plain of resurrection to the gate of judgment, the weighing of deeds and the beginning of eternal life. Structured in eight scenes, the book brings prophets, mystics, clerics, merchants, addicts, misers and ordinary people together; encounters with figures such as Omar Khayyam and Abu Sa’id Abu al-Khayr widen its satirical range.
Jamalzadeh uses familiar images of the afterlife, scriptural allusions, proverbs and colloquial Persian to question hypocrisy, manipulation, superstition and simplistic judgment. The work is more than a parody of religious belief: it also examines justice, personal responsibility and the desire for immortality while preserving the speech and social types of its period. The store-listed edition is a 238-page paperback.
