جهانگیر هدایت (Jahangir Hedayat) نویسنده، گردآورنده و پژوهشگر ایرانی و فرزند عیسی هدایت، برادر بزرگتر صادق هدایت، است. بخش مهمی از کارنامهٔ او به پیدا کردن، تدوین، معرفی و پیگیری انتشار اسناد و آثار صادق هدایت اختصاص دارد. او «فرهنگ عامیانه مردم ایران» را از میان نوشتههای فرهنگ عامهٔ هدایت گرد آورد؛ مجموعهای که «نیرنگستان»، «اوسانه»، ترانهها، پژوهشها و مواد چاپنشده را کنار هم میگذارد. کتابهایی چون «سیوشش روز با صادق هدایت» و «در پسکوچههای پاریس با برادرم صادق هدایت» نیز از یادداشتها و اسناد پدرش عیسی هدایت بهره میبرند. جهانگیر هدایت در پایهگذاری و ادارهٔ جایزهٔ ادبی صادق هدایت و دفاع از اصالت متن آثار عمویش نیز نقش داشته است. منابع عمومی درباره تاریخ دقیق تولد، همسر و فرزندان او همخوان و به اندازهٔ کافی معتبر نیستند؛ بنابراین این صفحه آن جزئیات را حدس نمیزند. آخرین حضور مستقیمِ معتبر بررسیشده، گفتوگوی رادیو فردا در ژوئن ۲۰۲۴ درباره سانسور و تحریف «بوف کور» است.
Jahangir Hedayat is an Iranian writer, compiler and literary researcher, and the son of Isa Hedayat, Sadegh Hedayat’s elder brother. Much of his work has involved locating, editing, publishing and defending the integrity of Sadegh Hedayat’s surviving papers and writings. He compiled Farhang-e Amiyane-ye Mardom-e Iran, bringing Neyrangestan, Owsaneh, songs, research and unpublished material into one Cheshmeh volume. His other documentary books draw on Isa Hedayat’s diaries, memories, letters and postcards, including Thirty-Six Days with Sadegh Hedayat and In the Back Alleys of Paris with My Brother Sadegh Hedayat. He has also been associated with the Sadegh Hedayat literary prize and has publicly challenged censorship and textual alteration. Reliable public sources do not agree on his exact birth details and do not securely establish his spouse or children, so this profile does not invent them.
