«فرهنگ عامیانه مردم ایران» مجموعهای از پژوهشها و یادداشتهای فرهنگ عامهٔ صادق هدایت (Sadegh Hedayat) است که جهانگیر هدایت (Jahangir Hedayat) آنها را در یک مجلد گرد آورده است. این کتاب با چاپ مستقل و کوتاهتر «نیرنگستان» یکی نیست؛ «نیرنگستان» یکی از بخشهای این مجموعهٔ گستردهتر است.
کتاب «نیرنگستان» را در کنار «اوسانه»، ترانههای عامیانه، متلهای فارسی، مقالهٔ «فولکلور یا فرهنگ توده»، طرحها و دستورهای گردآوری دادههای محلی و گزیدهای از قصهها، افسانهها، تصنیفها، اصطلاحات، ضربالمثلها، پژوهشها و نامههای چاپنشده قرار میدهد. این کنارهمنشینی چهرهٔ هدایتِ پژوهشگر را در کنار هدایتِ داستاننویس نشان میدهد.
موضوع نوشتهها از باورها و آیینهای مربوط به زناشویی، بارداری، بیماری، خواب، مرگ و فال تا جانوران، گیاهان، جشنها و زندگی روزمره گسترده است. «اوسانه» لالاییها و ترانههای مردمی را گرد میآورد و «نیرنگستان» باورها و رسوم را موضوعبندی میکند؛ نوشتههای روشی نیز بر ثبت زبان راوی و زمینهٔ محلی تأکید دارند.
ارزش مجموعه در حفظ بخشی از حافظهٔ شفاهی و فرهنگی ایران است، اما این نوشتهها باید در زمینهٔ تاریخی خود خوانده شوند. پژوهشهای دانشگاهی جایگاه پیشگام هدایت را تأیید میکنند و همزمان یادآور میشوند که در بعضی کارهای نخست او زمان، مکان و مشخصات راویان همیشه به شیوهٔ مردمنگاری امروز ثبت نشده است.
عنوان، نام پدیدآورندگان و نشر چشمه با جلد همین محصول و فهرستهای معتبر بازار همخوان است. روی جلد فعلی عبارت «چاپ هشتم» دیده میشود و شابک ثبتشدهٔ این اثر 9789645571168 است. چون رکوردهای چاپهای مختلف تعداد صفحههای متفاوتی دارند، صفحهشماری تا بررسی شناسنامهٔ همین نسخه حدس زده نمیشود.

About Farhang-e Amiyane-ye Mardom-e Iran
Farhang-e Amiyane-ye Mardom-e Iran collects the folklore research and surviving notes of Sadegh Hedayat in a volume compiled by Jahangir Hedayat. It is not the shorter standalone edition of Neyrangestan; that work is one part of this broader collection.
The volume places Neyrangestan beside Owsaneh, folk songs, Persian tales, the essay “Folklore or the Culture of the People,” outlines for collecting regional material, and selections of previously unpublished tales, legends, local songs, expressions, proverbs, research and letters. Together, the texts reveal Hedayat as a researcher as well as a fiction writer.
The writings record beliefs and practices surrounding marriage, pregnancy, illness, dreams, death, omens, animals, plants, festivals and everyday life. Owsaneh gathers lullabies and popular songs, while Neyrangestan classifies beliefs and customs; the methodological pieces also stress attention to a narrator’s language and local context.
The collection preserves part of Iran’s oral and cultural memory, but it should be read historically. Scholarship recognises Hedayat’s pioneering contribution while noting that some early work does not consistently document dates, locations or informants according to present-day ethnographic practice.
The title, creators and Cheshmeh imprint match the current cover and reliable catalogue records. The cover shown by AlefBa states “eighth printing,” and the recorded ISBN is 9789645571168. Pagination is deliberately omitted because catalogues describe different printings with different page counts and the colophon of this exact copy has not yet been checked.
