Aboutorab Khosravi is an Iranian novelist, short-story writer and teacher, born in Fasa on 21 March 1956. The frequent transfers required by his father’s military career exposed him to several Iranian cities and cultures. In Isfahan, the teenage Khosravi met Houshang Golshiri, who encouraged his writing; he later became an important figure in Shiraz literary workshops. His fiction is known for its architected prose, unstable narrators, dream logic and sustained engagement with memory, sacred language, sectarian power and the porous border between the living and the dead.
His major books include «هاویه», «دیوان سومنات», «اسفار کاتبان», «رود راوی», «کتاب ویران», «حاشیهای بر مبانی داستان», «ملکان عذاب» and «آواز پر جبرئیل». «ملکان عذاب» is the final novel in the thematic trilogy that begins with «اسفار کاتبان» and «رود راوی» and was a joint winner of the seventh Jalal Al-e Ahmad Literary Award. Khosravi is the sole author of AlefBa edition; there is no translator attached to this Persian original. For Latin-script discovery, the title is romanised as «Malekan-e Azab»; no verified published English title was found. The Persian title refers to angels of torment, so an invented market translation is not supplied. The pagination of the current pictured AlefBa copy has not been independently verified. Mahdro supports 396 pages only for the first Goman printing associated with ISBN 9786007289136, so that figure must not automatically be assigned to the current pictured copy; the earlier unsupported stock-page claim is not retained.
