«شرفنامه» سروده نظامی گنجوی (Nizami Ganjavi) بخش نخست «اسکندرنامه» و یکی از منظومههای پایانی خمسه اوست. نسخه حاضر با تصحیح و حواشی حسن وحید دستگردی (Hasan Vahid Dastgerdi) در ۵۱۲ صفحه و با جلد سخت از سوی نشر برگنگار منتشر شده است.
داستان، اسکندر را فقط فرماندهای کشورگشا نشان نمیدهد؛ او در سفر از سرزمینی به سرزمین دیگر با فرمانروایان، حکیمان و مسئلههای اخلاقی روبهرو میشود. نظامی گنجوی (Nizami Ganjavi) روایتهای ایرانی، یونانی و اسلامی را در قالب مثنوی درهم میآمیزد و شخصیت اسکندر را همزمان جنگاور، جوینده دانش و پادشاهی در معرض آزمون تصویر میکند. از همین رو اثر نه زندگینامه تاریخی مستقیم، بلکه بازآفرینی شاعرانه قدرت، خرد و جهانگردی است.

About Sharafnama
Sharafnama by Nizami Ganjavi is the first part of the Iskandarnama and one of the final narrative poems in his Khamsa. This 512-page hardback edition, edited and annotated by Hasan Vahid Dastgerdi, is published by Barg Negar.
The poem does not present Alexander only as a conquering commander. As he travels from one land to another, he encounters rulers, sages and moral problems. Nizami Ganjavi combines Iranian, Greek and Islamic narrative traditions in rhyming couplets, shaping Alexander as warrior, seeker of knowledge and king under trial. The result is not a straightforward historical biography but a poetic reinvention of power, wisdom and world travel.
Sharafnama concentrates on Alexander’s campaigns and journeys, while Iqbalnama, the second half of the Iskandarnama, develops his philosophical and prophetic dimensions. Hasan Vahid Dastgerdi’s notes explain difficult vocabulary and allusions. This edition suits readers of narrative poetry, students of the Khamsa and anyone interested in Alexander’s transformation within Nizami Ganjavi’s literary world.
