نامهها طی هفت سال نوشته شدهاند، اما زاوش هنگام خواندن، ضمیرها و مخاطب آنها را تغییر میدهد، تجربه بیبی را از آن خود میکند و سپس نامهها را میسوزاند. این شگرد، مرز میان خاطره، تصاحب و خودفریبی را ناپایدار میکند. نثر شاعرانه و قطعهقطعه رمان با تکگویی ذهنی، فضای هنر و روشنفکری دهههای چهل و پنجاه، عشق جسمانی، ریاکاری و فرسایش عاطفی درگیر است.

About Night One, Night Two
Night One, Night Two (شب یک، شب دو) is a novel by Bahman Forsi, first published in 1974. It follows Zavosh Izadan, an educated and unsettled man who rereads Bibi’s love letters and, through them, reconstructs his own life, relationships and emotional failures.
The letters span seven years, but Zavosh changes their pronouns and addressee as he reads, appropriating Bibi’s experience before burning the pages. The device destabilises the boundaries between memory, possession and self-deception. Fragmented poetic prose and interior monologue engage with Iran’s artistic and intellectual circles of the 1960s and 1970s, bodily love, hypocrisy and emotional disintegration.
