او در دوران نخست‌وزیری امیرعباس هویدا به سمت وزیر آموزش و پرورش منصوب شد و در این دوران به اصلاحات گسترده‌ای در نظام آموزشی ایران دست زد. فرخ رو پارسا به دلیل دیدگاه‌های پیشرو و حمایت از حقوق زنان شهرت داشت و در تلاش بود تا جایگاه زنان در جامعه را ارتقا بخشد. با این حال، پس از انقلاب ۱۳۵۷ و تغییرات گسترده در ساختار سیاسی ایران، وی با چالش‌ها و مخالفت‌های جدی مواجه شد و در نهایت در سال ۱۳۵۹ به اتهاماتی مانند فساد و مخالفت با انقلاب، توسط دولت انقلابی اعدام شد.

However, following the 1979 Revolution and the sweeping changes in Iran’s political structure, she faced significant opposition and challenges, ultimately being executed in 1980 by the revolutionary government on charges such as corruption and opposing the revolution.
