حمید امجد (Hamid Amjad؛ زادهٔ ۷ آذر ۱۳۴۷ در تهران) نمایشنامهنویس، کارگردان تئاتر و سینما، بازیگر، فیلمنامهنویس، پژوهشگر و ناشر ایرانی است. او از نوجوانی با تئاتر تجربی و سپس نقد فیلم وارد فضای حرفهای شد، سینما و پژوهش هنر خواند و دکترای خود را در دانشکدهٔ هنرهای زیبای دانشگاه تهران گرفت. نمایشنامههایی چون «نیلوفر آبی»، «شب سیزدهم»، «پستوخانه»، «قضیهٔ تراخیس»، «زائر» و «میان اشباح» در کارنامهٔ اوست. امجد در ۱۳۹۰ فیلم بلند «آزمایشگاه» را نوشت و کارگردانی کرد و در ۲۰۱۴ نشان نوشین را برای سهمش در تئاتر ایران دریافت کرد. او از ۱۳۷۶ با نشر نیلا همکاری تخصصی در حوزهٔ نمایش و سینما داشته است؛ منابع استنفورد این فعالیت را همکاری او با همسر و همکارش ژیلا اسماعیلیان معرفی میکنند. منابع معتبر منتخب دربارهٔ نام والدین، خواهر و برادرها و فرزندان او اطلاعات همخوان و قابلاتکایی منتشر نکردهاند، بنابراین این صفحه آن جزئیات را حدس نمیزند.
Hamid Amjad, born in Tehran on 28 November 1968, is an Iranian playwright, theatre and film director, actor, screenwriter, scholar and publisher. He began with experimental theatre and film criticism, studied cinema and arts research, and earned a doctorate from the University of Tehran’s Faculty of Fine Arts. His plays include The Blue Lotus, The Thirteenth Night, The Back Room, The Case of Trachis, The Pilgrim and Among Ghosts. He wrote and directed his first feature film, Laboratory, in 2012 and received the Noushin Medal in 2014 for his contribution to Iranian theatre. Since 1997 he has worked with Nila Publications, a specialist publisher of theatre and cinema books; Stanford identifies Nila as a collaboration with his wife and colleague Jila Esmailian.
