«نهادنامه‌ی داد» متن سامان‌یافتهٔ ده گفتار نخستین دورهٔ شاهنامه‌شناسی میرجلال‌الدین کزازی (Mir Jalaleddin Kazzazi) است؛ دوره‌ای که برای دانشجویان و علاقه‌مندان عمومی برگزار شد و به جای شرح بیت‌به‌بیت، پرسش‌های بنیادین دربارهٔ ساختار و جهان فکری شاهنامه را دنبال می‌کند. گفتار نخست می‌پرسد شاهنامه چیست و چرا نمی‌توان آن را تنها روایتی از جنگ‌ها یا تاریخ پادشاهان دانست. سپس کتاب به ماندگاری اسطوره در روزگار دانش، تعریف حماسه، گونه‌های ناخودآگاهی و گونه‌های حماسه می‌پردازد و نشان می‌دهد روایت اساطیری چگونه تجربه‌های جمعی، ترس‌ها، آرزوها و الگوهای فرهنگی را در خود نگه می‌دارد. فصل‌های میانی با نمونه‌هایی چون زال و زروان و راز رویین‌تنی، پیوند اسطوره‌های ایرانی با زمان، سرنوشت و آسیب‌پذیری پهلوان را می‌کاوند. در ادامه، زبان سرشتین و خوش‌ساخت شاهنامه و نسبت تاریخی فردوسی با محمود غزنوی بررسی می‌شود؛ گفتار پایانی نیز به پرسش‌های حاضران پاسخ می‌دهد. فرهنگ واژه‌های دشوار و نمایه‌ها، ساختار گفتاری کتاب را برای مراجعه پژوهشی کارآمدتر کرده‌اند. نمونهٔ گردآفرید که بر پشت جلد آمده، یکی از نکته‌های جذاب رویکرد کزازی است: حضور پهلوان زن در آوردگاه برای او شاهدی درون‌متنی علیه خوانش ساده‌انگارانهٔ زن‌ستیز از فردوسی و فرهنگ حماسی ایران است. این کتاب خودِ شاهنامه یا بازنویسی داستان‌های آن نیست؛ درآمدی تحلیلی و در عین حال خوش‌خوان به اسطوره، حماسه، زبان و شخصیت‌های شاهنامه است.

Nehadnameh-ye Dad presents the edited text of the ten lectures in the first Shahnameh-studies course taught by Mir Jalaleddin Kazzazi. Designed for students and interested general readers, the course does not proceed as a line-by-line commentary. Instead, it asks foundational questions about the structure and imaginative world of Ferdowsi’s epic. The opening lecture considers what the Shahnameh is and why it cannot be reduced to a chronicle of battles or kings. The book then examines the survival of myth in an age of science, definitions of epic, modes of the unconscious and categories of heroic narrative, showing how myth can preserve collective experience, fear, desire and cultural pattern. The middle lectures use figures and motifs such as Zal, Zurvan and invulnerability to explore Iranian ideas of time, fate and the hero’s hidden vulnerability. Later discussions turn to the Shahnameh’s organic Persian idiom and the historically contested relationship between Ferdowsi and Sultan Mahmud of Ghazni; a final session answers questions from the audience. A glossary of difficult words and indexes make the spoken-course form easier to use for reference. The Gordafarid example printed on the back cover captures one of the book’s striking arguments: the presence of a formidable woman warrior within the epic complicates any simplistic claim that Ferdowsi or Iranian heroic culture is inherently hostile to women. This is neither the Shahnameh itself nor a retelling of its plots, but an accessible analytical introduction to its myths, language, characters and epic logic.
